These procedures have to be carried out each time: · Pistons are replaced piston rings are replaced cylinder liners are replaced crankshaft, main bearings and connecting rod bushings are replaced. Starting up the engine (03_09) The starter and idle speed adjustment functions are electronically managed by the stepper motor. Therefore, the start-up procedure is the same for cases when the engine is cold or warm. Kick the start pedal; start from the upper section of the pedal travel and push it as far as it will go, firmly but not violently (do not exert excessive force when kicking) Stop the engine by holding down button (1) for one second. As soon as button (1) is pressed, the engine increases revs before it comes to a complete stop. This behaviour is to be considered normal and is used so that the stepper motor can follow the alignment procedure for the next start-up.
