When pressed and immediately released, it activates/deactivates standby mode. After extracting the smallest items from the package, pull out the unit carefully. If batteries are not already placed in the remote controller battery slot, open the slot; insert batteries according to the indicated polarity, then close the battery slot. Plugging and connecting Bellini Virtual Battery Before connecting Bellini Virtual Battery to sound source, please be sure that they are all unplugged from wall outlets. First of all, connect the sound sources to the Bellini Virtual Battery inputs you want to use. as the second step , connect Bellini Virtual Battery pre-outs to the amplifier inputs. At last, plug the power cord into the Bellini Virtual Battery inlet and into the wall outlet. Powering up Bellini Virtual Battery When the power cord is plugged into a power plug, the virtual battery capacitors start to recharge. This is intended to prevent the preamplifier to suddenly turn on after power interruption. When the "Select" button on the front panel or the "STBY" button on the remote controller is pressed, the unit turns on. If nothing happens, please refer to the troubleshooting section of the present manual. Even if it is safe to turn the unit off (unplugging it from the outlet) when unused for long periods of time or during lightning and electric storms, it is possible to leave it plugged when using it daily. Volume settings and silencing (mute) The volume knob on the front panel and the Vol+/Vol- buttons on the remote controller change the general sound level. The mute buttons on the front panel and on the remote controller allows lowering the sound level by 20dB. In normal sound level condition, it means to pass to a background music level.
