Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Not respecting the instructions contained in this manual will invalidate the guarantee terms and conditions. NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFETY AND MAINTENANCE ATTENTION: Read the following instructions and precaution carefully and completely before. operating or maintaining your Audio Analogue Maestro Class A SE integrated amplifier. It's mandatory to comply with the following regulations to avoid any hazard: Always disconnect your entire system from AC mains before connecting or disconnecting any cables. [. . . ] The preamplifier power supply is stabilized using discrete components linear regulators. The first amplification is before the attenuator to optimize the coupling with the source. The input stage of the preamplifier is realized with two low noise bipolar transistor (MPSA18). The internal stages are DC coupled and the offset is reduced by means of an integrating amplifiers. The input attenuator is realized with two cascaded integrated resistance network without integrated output buffer. The protection and control sections are galvanically insulated from the analog sections to minimize the digital noise. The voltage of both channel is measured by means of optocoupler to avoid any ground loop. the DC offset on the output (loudspeakers) is also monitored by means of optocouplers. The protections are realized with a PLD (Programmable Logic Device), more fast and reliable if compared to a microcontroller. FUSE: If necessary, replace it with an other of the same kind (see back panel label). When deactivated the volume level is increased, in some seconds, to the level set before the muting IN+/IN-. If one of the items listed above is missing, please contact your Audio Analogue retailer. After extracting the smallest items from the package, pull out the unit carefully. Where to place the Class A SE integrated amplifier Class A SE is a high bias unit, it generates a large amount of heat. After some hours of operation the unit temperature can raise up to 50°C, be careful! In particular, you should leave at least 5 cm around and above the unit and avoid placing it close to heat sources (radiators, heaters, amplifiers, television sets). Plugging and connecting Before connecting the Class A SE integrated amplifier to the sources, please be sure that they're all unplugged from wall outlets. First of all, connect the sources to the Class A SE inputs you want to use. as the second step , connect Class A SE outputs to the speakers' cable. At last, plug the power cord into the Class A SE inlet and into the wall outlet. To put the amplifier in stand-by you MUST place the rear panel switch in position 1. Powering up Class A SE When you set the rear switch of Class A SE in the position "1", the unit turns on in the STANDBY mode. [. . . ] This option is useful to use the Class A SE integrated amplifier in a multichannel AV system. Troubleshooting Symptom No display on No sound Cause Power cord incorrectly plugged Burned-out fuses Remedy Make sure the power cord is correctly plugged into the wall outlet Check fuses in the fuse panel (after unplugging the power cord from the wall outlet) above the IEC inlet and replace them with new ones of the same type Set the switch to "1" Turn off the rear switch, wait 5 seconds than turn ON again. Contact your Audio Analogue retailer Select the right source using the recording selector Place/replace battery (2 `AAA' batteries) Get closer to the unit or reduce angle Rear switch not turned ON Momentary low voltage on mains plug Internal Failure No battery/ worn-out battery You're standing too far or on an exceeding angle from the front panel If the suggested remedies should not work or the problem is not shown in the list above, please contact your local Audio Analogue retailer.
