SAFETY MESSAGE HIERARCHY
This manual uses the following types of safety messages to draw your attention to important safety and other information for use of the Traffic Assist.
Safety message hierarchy
Please review the symbols and content of the boxes below. The information in the DANGER, WARNING, CAUTION and NOTICE boxes describes the potential consequence associated with disregarding the messages throughout the manual. The information in the NOTE boxes relates to use of the Traffic Assist. DANGER The warnings contain safety information regarding hazardous situations, which if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION These warnings contain safety information regarding hazardous situations which, if not avoided, could result in minor or moderate injury.
NOTICE These warnings contain information regarding items or situations which may cause damage to the unit or vehicle if disregarded, information regarding unit warranties and/or information pertinent to traffic laws. [. . . ] > Switch to the selection between Address, Point of interest or Select on map by pressing the Other destination button and then enter the intermediate destination. > Repeat these entries in the route planning window for each intermediate destination by pressing Add. > Once all the entries have been made in the route planning window, save the destination data by pressing the OK button. The Edit key Existing routes can be changed in the Edit menu.

> Select a destination from the fast access list displayed. This box can be used to save the processed route and transfer it to rapid access. These keys can be used to scroll up and down through the lists.

Individual entries can be moved using these buttons. The Calculate key A planned route can also be calculated without GPS reception so that you can get an overview of the journey. When doing this, the first route point specified is used as the starting point for the route. Note: During navigation, your current location is the starting point used. > Press the button Calculate to have the total distance and probable length of the journey calculated for this route. Note: If no GPS signal is available, route guidance is started automatically as soon as a signal is received. Once the calculation is complete, the total distance from the first to the last points on the route and the probable length of the journey for this route are displayed in the Route planning window under the list of route points.

Navigation menu: Settings
The settings of relevance to the navigation functions can be found in the Settings menu. You can exit the current settings button at any time without saving any changes by pressing the key . Structure Various buttons are available in the setting menu:
> Select the value you wish to change. > You can set the direction of the longitude and latitude via LON and LAT using the right-hand buttons in the row. Note: The coordinates entered must correspond to WGS84 (World Geodetic System 1984). > Press the Start button to start route guidance to the entered coordinates.
