Very fine coffee can block up the system so that the coffee only comes out in drips. o If you didn't fill a sufficient amount of pre-ground coffee, NOT ENOUGH PRE-GROUND is displayed and the IMPRESSA stops operation. Otherwise, the IMPRESSA stops the operation and is ready to use again. Example: This is how to prepare a cup of coffee using pre-ground coffee. l Open the cover of the storage compartment, take out the measuring spoon for pre-ground coffee and close the cover again. l Open the cover for pre-ground coffee. FILL PRE-GROUND 43 5 Preparation at the touch of a button l Place one level measuring spoon of pre-ground coffee in the filler funnel. l Close the cover for pre-ground coffee again. After this, PREGROUND is briefly displayed. The pre-set amount of water flows into the cup and the process stops automatically. READY appears on the display. SELECT BUTTON Warm milk Precondition: The Professional Cappuccino Frother is installed. l Insert the other end in a milk carton/bottle or connect it to a milk container. l Place a cup under the Professional Cappuccino Frother. l Turn the selection lever of the nozzle to the milk position k l Press the steam button. k l Press the steam button. HEATING READY appears as soon as the IMPRESSA has heated up. . STEAM appears on the display. The operation stops automatically after reaching the pre-set amount of steam. o The milk preparation can be interrupted at any time. o While milk is being prepared, you can change the pre-set amount of water by turning the Rotary Switch. After this, the machine must heat up again. 44 5 Preparation at the touch of a button To ensure that the Professional Cappuccino Frother works perfectly, you should rinse and clean it regularly. The description for this can be found in Chapter 8, `Maintenance ­ Professional Cappuccino Frother'. Hot water To obtain a perfect water flow, attach the exchangeable hot water nozzle. Start by exchanging the nozzle: l Carefully remove the Professional Cappuccino Frother from the Connector System©. l Stick the hot water nozzle onto the Connector System© by lightly rotating. WATER appears on the display, and then the pre-set temperature briefly appears. The pre-set amount of water flows into the cup and the process stops automatically. CAUTION READY o By pressing the hot water button several times (within approx. 2 seconds) you can set the temperature to your individual preference. o During preparation, you can change the amount by turning the Rotary Switch. 45 6 Permanent settings according to cup size 6 Permanent settings according to cup size It is easy to make permanent settings for the amount of water for all coffee specialities, the hot water and steam according to cup size.
