1 Preparing the battery pack

1Insert the battery pack into the battery charger.
· Insert the battery pack as far as it will go, the press the back of the battery pack gently until it clicks.
2Connect the battery charger to the wall outlet (wall socket).
The CHARGE lamp lights up, and charging starts. Also, the CHARGE lamp may turn off when the temperature is outside of the recommended operating temperature (10 to 30°C), as the charger is on standby.

Playback: Press (Playback).
Different items are available depending on the position of the mode dial and Recording/Playback mode.

[ On operating temperatures
Your camera is designed for use under the temperatures between 0°C and 40°C (32°F and 104°F). Shooting in extremely cold or hot places that exceed this range is not recommended.
[ On moisture condensation
If the camera is brought directly from a cold to a warm location, moisture may condense inside or outside the camera. If moisture condensation occurs Turn off the camera and wait about an hour for the moisture to evaporate. Note that if you shoot with moisture remaining inside the lens, images will not be clear.
[ On carrying
Do not sit down in a chair or other place with the camera in the back pocket of your trousers or skirt, as this may cause malfunction or damage the camera.
[ On the internal rechargeable backup battery
