Lock/Unlock a Picture You can lock special pictures so that you don't delete them inadvertently. Any locked pictures must first be unlocked before you can delete them unless you format the CompactFlash card completely (see page 34). (All pictures are deleted and NO PICTURES TO VIEW appears. ) Note: Locked pictures cannot be deleted with this operation. If you haven't already set the date and time, you may want to do that (see page 16). When finished, use the Navigation button to scroll to the next setting or set the Power dial to the desired mode. 4. 31 Using the Camera's Features Self Timer FLASH TIMER PVIEW TU OFF MODE ON The camera has a self timer so that you can delay when the picture is taken by a few seconds. Set it to 3 seconds to steady any vibration caused by touching the camera right before you take a picture, or to 10 seconds to allow you time to include yourself in the picture. [. . . ] Change the position of the Camera with respect to the radio or television equipment that is receiving interference. Move the Camera away from the equipment that is receiving interference. Plug the Camera into a different wall outlet so that the Camera and the equipment receiving interference are on different branch circuits.
