Do not stack electronic components or other objects on top of the DSS Receiver. The slots on top of the receiver must be left uncovered to allow proper airflow to the unit. 1. Tune TV to desired channel.

Interactive Setup
If you self-installed your satellite dish, you may have already used the interactive setup to find the dish pointing coordinates, acquire and fine-tune the signal, and run a system test. If you need to run the interactive setup again, go to the Assistance menu and select Setup. If you just want to check your dish pointing coordinates, or run the signal strength meter, select Dish Pointing from the Main menu.
Disabling Interactive Setup
The Interactive Setup menus automatically appear on-screen the first time you plug in your receiver, and when power is restored after a power loss. The final step of the Interactive Setup allows you to disable the automatic appearance of the Interactive Setup. To enable it again, select Setup from the Assistance menu and then follow the Interactive Setup routine until the end, where you can choose to enable the automatic feature.

These parts make up the DSS® system "big picture. " Uplink Center Transmits programming up to the satellite. The satellite is parked above the equator, in geostationary orbit 22, 300 miles above the earth. Also, the Federal Communications Commission has prepared a helpful booklet, "How To Identify and Resolve Radio/TV Interference Problems".
