[. . . ] OPERATION After proper connections are made, the SS32 will simply connect the indicated channel (A, B, or C) to the Common jacks by switching between the corresponding selector A, B or C. [. . . ] A, B, C Jacks: Stereo RCA's or Three 1/8" Tip-Ring-Sleeve jacks for input/output connections. A, B, C Switch: Mechanical toggle switch - connects and disconnects the A, B, C jacks to the Common jack(s).

First, it must be stressed that the SS32 should either be operated in Stereo, or Mono mode NOT both. Using this device with mono cabling and stereo equipment could damage your stereo equipment. Since the SS32 is a passive device, connecting a 1/8" mono (Tip-Sleeve) plug to either the Common, or A, B, C jacks - that jack's ring connection will be grounded.
