The appliance must be installed by a qualified professional in accordance with the instructions provided. [. . . ] If the button is pressed for 3 seconds the controls are locked, the display shows CONTROL PANEL LOCKED and the CONTROLS LOCKED indicator light illuminates. When the controls are locked it is still possible to switch off the hob. The oven is able to operate in DEMO mode: all heating elements are deactivated, and controls remain operative. If the control panel lock has been activated, the controls will continue to be locked even after the hob is switched on again. In order to switch the hob on again, you must first remove the lock function. Practical advice on using the appliance Use cookware made from materials that are compatible with the induction principle (ferromagnetic material). We especially recommend pans made from: cast iron, coated steel or special stainless steel adapted for induction. The indicator light is flashing, it may indicate: An incompatible pan A pan whose diameter is too small The pan has been removed from the hotplate. Residual heat indicators After the pan has been removed from one of the cooking zones, part of the power level indicator will flash while the temperature of that particular zone remains above 60°C. Overheating protection If the electronic components overheat, the hob switches off automatically and the power level indicator will show the two external parts or the two internal and the two external parts as active. When the temperature has reached a more appropriate level, this message disappears and the hob may be used again. Safety switch The appliance has a safety switch that automatically switches off the cooking zones when they have been in operation for a certain amount of time at a given power level. When the contents of the pan reach the optimal temperature, the hob buzzer will sound, a short beep will be emitted every 15 seconds and the display will show the text COOK OK. Ood may then be placed in the pan in the OIL and BUTTER cooking programmes; the sound and visual signals are interrupted and the automatic adjustment of the hob continues. When the WATER and SAUCE cooking programmes are started the display requests that a duration is set. adjust the minutes by pressing the and buttons at the side of the display and press OK to confirm. During the WATER cooking programme, once the boiling temperature has been reached, the hob emits an alarm: two short beeps will be emitted every seconds and the display will show the text COOK OK. The timer begins counting down once food has been placed inside the pan. During the SAUCE cooking programme the timer begins counting down once the optimal reduction temperature has been reached and the hob emits a sound signal. To display the previously set function during the cooking programme, press the button at the side of the display corresponding to the cooking zone being used. the display will show the name of the active function and the remaining time , if set. The power level of the cooking zone cannot be modified while any of the CookEye® functions are in operation.
