Important safety information
Before installing and first using the washing machine, read the instruction booklet carefully, including its hints and warnings. Doing so will ensure that your machine will perform properly and to best advantage. Anyone using the machine should be thoroughly familiar with its instructions for use and safety features. [. . . ] Alternatively the detergent is measured into the specially designed dosing device which should be placed on top of the laundry and at the back of the machine drum.
Fabric Conditioners
These are ideal for improving `softness' and also reduce static cling on synthetics and make ironing easier. They are available in two types: For example Lenor liquid fabric softener, for use in the washing machine/washer dryer. The liquid fabric softener should be poured into the compartment marked with the symbol . Follow the manufacturer's dosage instructions and never exceed the MAX level. We recommend the conditioning sheets are pinned (using a safety pin to an article of laundry and placed in the tumble dryer).
Compact Powders and Liquids
Compact detergents (or concentrates as they are also known) are available in liquid or powder form, and generally require a smaller dosage. Follow the manufacturer's instructions to ensure the most economical usage. Pour the detergent directly into the dispenser drawer.

Using the appliance
Have you removed all the transit locking devices? The very first time the machine is used, you should run a wash programme without any load, to clear any residues which may have been left by the manufacturing process. 100 ml of detergent straight into the drum and run a programme at 60°C. When the programme is finished, the machine will be ready for use.
1
Starting a wash programme
Before starting up the machine, check that: q the door is properly closed q the appliance is plugged in q the water supply tap is turned on To start the machine, proceed as follows: 1. Always try to wash full loads: for maximum load weights see the programme charts. You should only reduce the load weight for heavily soiled items and sensitive materials. Measure out the amount of detergent required and pour it into the larger compartment on the left (fig 1). Pour fabric softener into the smaller compartment on the right without exceeding the max. The indicator lights "Washing" and "Door" comes on and the programme starts.

Changing a wash programme
The programme can be changed as long as the Start/Pause button hasn't been depressed. If the programme has started, you can only change it by turning the programme selector to the "Reset" position and cancel the programme. [. . . ] Return the machine to it's normal upright position and remove the three bolts and their spacers on it's rear (Fig. The three holes must then be plugged with the plastic plugs supplied, which can be found in a plastic bag inside the drum (Fig. 4).

Installation
The machine must be installed on a sound and firm surface and must not be touching walls or furniture.
1
Levelling the machine
Adjust the feet to level the machine. Accurate levelling prevents vibration, noise and displacement of the machine during operation. [. . . ]
